The Military Service Appreciation Dinner brings together the Stanford community and honors the service and outstanding contributions of our past and present service members. The dinner seeks to:

• Recognize and honor the courage, commitment, service, and sacrifice embodied in the world's defense forces
• Bring together the Stanford community to celebrate the achievements of military personnel in both the militaryand civilian contexts, and
• Recognize and award an outstanding individual who has served in the military, has an extraordinary track record of leadership, and is an example of outstanding achievement in business or business education.

All are welcome though!​  This year's dinner will honor former Secretary of State George Shultz (who also served as a Marine in WWII) and will feature economist John Taylor as the keynote speaker.
